Engagement and Development Manager

8 December 2023

KBF CANADA understands that philanthropy is about personal stories, and sometimes these stories take us beyond our borders, which is why we manage charitable projects worldwide. We connect Canadians to their favourite charitable causes – anywhere in the world – by crafting personalized solutions for one-time gifts or recurring donations through donor-advised funds. We provide the due diligence and oversight that charitable projects require. We are agile but rigorous. Our focus is on direct outcomes for impactful projects and on minimizing management fees. As a member of Myriad, the Alliance for Borderless Giving, and through 44 years of relationships built through the KBF Family, we have access to a strong international network and extensive practical expertise and knowledge.

We are currently seeking an Engagement and Development Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Executive Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for business development through external relationship building, as well as conducting due diligence and project management.

The successful candidate will:
Work alongside the Executive Director to enhance our presence and engagement with our international partners and stakeholders in Canada, developing our global network by:

• Getting hands on experience of the due diligence and reporting required for the management of international charitable projects;
• Helping to activate our services to individuals, families, corporations, and foundations wanting to support international causes;
• Interacting with professional and philanthropic advisors in order to present our services;
• Participating actively in the growth of KBF CANADA within the MYRIAD Alliance for borderless giving.

The successful candidate is:
• Flexible, empathetic, rigorous and reliable, with excellent interpersonal skills;
• Aligned with our values of integrity, transparency, equity, and international solidarity;
• Collaborative, with the adaptability to work in an organisation in full expansion;
• Highly organised, with strong priority management and problem-solving skills;
• Open-minded, curious and willing to learn;

The candidate has strong communication skills in English, with French an asset.

We offer:
• A permanent full-time position;
• A competitive salary between $70,000 to $100,000 based on experience and skills;
• Health and dental insurance;
• Contribution to retirement funds;
• A hybrid work model, with a minimum of two days at the Montreal office;
• 4 weeks of vacation per year;
• A work environment that is professional and motivating;
• An immediate start date.

KBF CANADA strives to closely reflect the society to which it is committed. We encourage applications from members of groups facing barriers to equity.
