Context

This unprecedented pandemic has demonstrated that India’s health system’s capacity to diagnose, isolate, and clinically manage cases must be ramped up significantly. The “One Against COVID-19” project will combat the pandemic by building dedicated COVID-19 healthcare facilities to allow Indians the safe opportunity to be treated and cured easily.

Goals

Build dedicated COVID-19 healthcare facilities to allow Indians the safe opportunity to be easily treated and cured.

Activities

The project will leverage technology, funds and manpower to provide Covid-19 relief on three levels:

  1. Primary healthcare:

  • Raise awareness;
  • Provide training and equipment to healthcare professionals;
  • Provide personal protective equipment (PPE) such as face masks and shields, gloves and protective gowns to health workers across the country;
  • Offer health care to a suffering populace;
  • Reduce the plight of the migrant populace by facilitating linkage with the social welfare schemes;
  • Set up Covid-19 care facilities across the country.
  1. Addressing the effects of the pandemic on the elderly:

  • Social distancing has only increased their isolation and loneliness, exacerbating conditions like anxiety and fear, etc. This aggravates their overall health and mental well-being;
  • The project will provide continued support to the elderly by moving the engagement to digital and electronic spheres.
  1. Awareness campaign on Covid-19:

  • One of the biggest issues during a pandemic is the lack of accurate information. The project includes a country-wide health campaign to raise awareness of Covid-19 safety measures especially for the rural communities.
