COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization

The world has never faced a crisis like COVID-19. The unprecedented pandemic is impacting communities and economies worldwide and we know people and organizations everywhere want to help.

The COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization (WHO) is the only way for individuals, corporations, foundations, and other organizations around the world to directly support the work of WHO and partners to help countries prevent, detect, and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, especially where needs are greatest. Money raised through the Fund can be disbursed at speed and flexibly, so it gets where it is most needed as quickly as possible.

Your donation will go into a fund to support:

  • Tracking and understanding the spread of the virus;
  • Ensuring patients get the care they need, and frontline workers get essential supplies and information;
  • Accelerating efforts to develop vaccines, tests and treatments for all who need them.

The work in 2021 builds on the progress achieved in 2020, continues to support the response in countries towards suppressing transmission, reducing exposure, countering misinformation and disinformation, protecting the vulnerable, reducing mortality and morbidity rates and increasing equitable access of diagnostics and vaccines for all.

To expand the global network of donors, WHO has partnered with WHO Foundation to receive donated funds, which will then be used by the World Health Organization to support countries according to the COVID-19 Strategic Preparedness and Response Plan.  The Solidarity Response Fund (SRF) is powered by the WHO Foundation, in collaboration with the UN Foundation and a global network of fiduciary partners. For additional information about the Fund , please visit the SRF website.

KBF CANADA is partnering with the WHO and WHO Foundation in order to enable Canadians to make donations, all donations are eligible for a tax receipt in Canada.
